LaToya Stegall

August 24,1986-September 17, 2013

Latoya Stegall, a remarkable individual, faced immense challenges throughout her life. Diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, partial blindness, and deafness, she navigated a world with formidable obstacles. Functioning at a cognitive level akin to a four-month-old, Latoya displayed incredible resilience. Her journey was marked by enduring grand mal seizures and undergoing numerous surgeries. Throughout it all, she relied on the devoted, round-the-clock care provided by her parents.

TOYA TUFF STORY

The TOYA TUFF Foundation, established in 2014, started by helping other organizations and advocating in the community. Over time, we have grown to support families with children and adults affected by Cerebral Palsy. It all began on a significant night in 1986 when LaToya Stegall was born. LaToya was given only 24 hours to live.Despite initial challenges, including being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and facing numerous surgeries, LaToya's resilience inspired us to create the TOYA TUFF Foundation. Our goal is to assist families and individuals with disabilities by providing support and education. LaToya's memory lives on through the foundation's work.
